Hello World – Thesis Book
Overview
“Hello World” represents my pursuit of fluency in the varying technologies and languages of visual communication. As a generalist, I shift fluidly between the fields of type, motion, mixed reality, print, and product design – the form I choose is in response to the design challenge at hand. Throughout my design journey, I have embraced novel methods to create contemporary forms that are a response to our constantly changing landscape. I continue to remain attuned to the fields to come in the future.
In this Thesis, I plan to study two new worlds of visual communication – the immersive digital world of the Metaverse on one end, and the world of expressive letterforms on print and paper on the other. Thus, this is a nod to my generalist approach towards graphic design, where I am learning something new from both ends of the graphic design spectrum – print and digital.
